Both the Sylvania and PIAA halogen bulbs will not give you the pure white colour of a good LED bulb. Trust me, I have tried them both already. Apparently its the voltage of the DRL (or something like that) that is too low when running the DRL's. When you run High Beams, the colour is good, but not when running DRL's.

If you want the pure white DRL, you have to go LED and resistors, but you will lose your high beams. If you need High Beams, stick with Halogens.

I have the XP80 LED from Diode Dynamics with resistors. The High Beam does function but the reach is just not there, unlike Halogen bulbs. Its a trade off.

@ Frikii

The main advantage of using the LED DRLs is that they are much durable than the regular bulbs. Plus, they offer greater efficiency than regular incandescent bulbs.

1. These bulbs do not require any additional resistor, they come already equipped with them.
2. No, they do not shine brighter when the regular lights are turned on. However, you easily can see that they are much brighter in comparison to your stock incandescent bulbs.
3. No, Lumen bulbs are CAN Bus compatible, and have been designed with a higher level of advanced technology that allows proper data flow.

First of all, we want to say sorry that it took so long to get back to you. We apologize if you have experienced an inconvenience with CARiD in the past and we'll gladly do our best to change your impression from negative to positive.

What kind of bulbs did you have? Were they Standard series bulbs or the Plasma series ones?
