So far no passenger side airbag warning on i-MID after 3 drive cycles with a no passenger in the seat. I will consider this issue fixed. I have canceled my appointment with the dealer.

No manual switch here in the US. We have weight and height sensors in both seats to determine if/when to turn on/off the airbags. Highway safety regulations don't allow manual cutoff switches.

Some pickup trucks with single row seating have key switch to disable passenger side airbag for baby seats. One of my company vehicles had one.

Nice! Now to find out how it all hook up and if I can make it compatible with the USDM CR-Z (shhhhhhhh...don't tell anyone.) I bet it's more than just a few shenanigans to fuss about with the wiring, but it'll be an interesting project.

Don’t forget right hand drive versus left so you would turn off drivers side!😀
