The 6MT in sport mode with the VSA stability mode OFF easily breaks traction pulling-off from stop, and it can easily burn-rubber to redline in first gear; in other words the horsepower / torque involved in 1st gear (lower overall final ratio for the 6MT) has the car's acceleration limited by the OEM tires' traction, it's not limited by the IMA / 1.5 liter engine's power output, this applies only to 1st gear; the CR-Z can't break the oem tire traction in 2nd gear on a dry surface.

I don't think the above was aimed at us elders inasmuch as "mentally enfeebled? encompasses about 75% of the folks on the road today IMO.
