Default Cvt "l" gear

i recently was curious what would happen if i hold both paddle shift at the same time and somehow in the dash board popped out "L" in the gear section. Does any one know what this "L" gear is for? in my view it seemed to stay in the same gear or sumthing.... haha o.O

Pretty sure it's "Low" gear, for snow and such... but I could be wrong.

L stands for Ludicrous Speed. It gives you a 10 second burst at 500 horsepower.

I can't really back that up. It probably stands for low.

I hate to darken the lively environment with facts (), but I must, for that is my mission:

From page 206 in my manual:
L Mode Operation
Use this mode to get more power when climbing hills.
To switch to the L mode, pull and hold both paddle shifters ( + and - ) at the
same time with the shift lever in D.

Use the L mode to get more engine braking in the
7-speed manual shift mode.

To cancel this mode, pull and hold both paddle shifters again, or press any of the
three driving mode buttons. The L indicator goes off.

Bloody 'L.

When I go to visit my ex-girlfriend (we're still friends), there is this incline that goes up approximately 150 ft. in elevation over 1/4 mile (that's almost 20% grade right there!). That's when L gear is useful.

Sounds like it's the "Lets" button.

Lets get up the hill quicker....
Lets charge the batteries quicker....

They should have called it the Q gear for "quicker"....
