I have a Nissan Altima with CVT besides the CR-Z and I must say that the Honda, even though it has a slight delay, is much faster in engaging the CVT.
In the Nissan you can put it in gear, get out of the car, go back inside, have a coffee, come back and maybe... maybe if you are lucky, the CVT engaged and you can drive away. Three point turns in the Nissan take forever, you can grow old fast doing too many of those. |

Have never noticed it in the year I've been driving it. As a matter of info, with the engine idling at about 700 RPM, I lift my foot off the brake and the car starts rolling instantly; same in reverse. Of course if you mash it in Auto-Stop, there will always be a slight delay. If this is your first hybrid w/Auto=Stop, it takes a bit of getting used to. After 10 years with the Insight, the CRZ's Auto-Stop was no surprise.
