Trying not to damage anything during this process if at all possible. ![]() Also are there specs available on the side-to-side movement of each half shaft, or how much "play" they should have when sitting at ride height? I currently have 0 in the right axle and at least a few mm in the left. I am trying to even this out and hoping I do not need to order custom axles. Thanks for any and all help, as always it is most appreciated!

Hey man
The axle has a cir-clip on the end that goes into the transmission on the drivers side. The passenger side uses an intermediate shaft so that both halfshsfts are equal length. The removal of either side should be pretty straight foreward. I assume it is something like this: Drain transmission (if removing the drivers axle) Remove wheel Remove axle nut Remove lower ball joint nut and separate lower ball joint from control arm Slide axle out of hub Use a small prybar to "pop" the axle loose on the inboard side Bam! You're done It may not be just that easy, but on a theoretical standpoint, it should be very similar. |

Thanks!
Youve been a huge help through all of this and you were the one who originally turned me on to the axle being the problem. ![]() I am mostly focused on the passenger side and may not need to remove it entirely, but at least take it loose and ensure its not hanging up on something. That axle is super tight in there. I freed it up a little by turning my camber to full positive, but its still got the shakes.
