I got this a couple of days ago from Basis and I have to say I'm very impressed. I had the skunk2 unit in my integra and it feels about the same. Shifting is a solid click click. The feel is even more solid over stock. I highly recommend it.

The only thing is that it raises the shaft slightly (barely noticeable), but couple this with a countersunk weighted knob and it'll be absolutely perfect. Like s2000 perfect.

I modified a GE8 Fit SSK to fit my CR-Z and wrote a DIY 3 months ago. Try the Search button.

This was one of my first mod and love it. I love that shifting feels solid compared to the springiness/rubberiness of the stock shifter.

Installed mine yesterday, awesomeeeee! It's a little louder now than stock, but that kinda makes me feel like a race car driver haha.

The stalk is a little higher up and that takes a little getting used to, but I feel like it's a little more comfortable with my zeta arm rest.

hi guys I have a noob question...

does installing a short shifter mean that one can shift quicker while accelerating and be able to get rid of rev delays? or is the hang still there?

cos when I accelerate and shift quickly I get rev delays which is annoying.

cheers

Short shifter allows you to physically move the shift lever from 1st-2nd-3rd-4th-5th-6th quicker by reducing the distance between them.

It won't get rid of your rev hang. Hondata is the only thing I know of to get rid of that.

Intresting thanks for reply.

So a short shifter wont improve acceleration times due to shorter throws?

Everyone who has one says it feels better and smoother but does it improve acceleration times even the slightest?

Fractions of a second due to being able to shift faster.
