Santa Monica Mountain Run / Meet!

Thanks to everyone who came out! Great turn out. Bummed the Hondata guys had to clear out early as well as Jackson Racing, but glad they could make at least some of the drive.

Here are a couple of pics I took and a quick video up at Mulholland Overlook. I have footage of driving down Tuna Canyon, but I have not pulled it off the camera yet. For those who left early, you'll see what you missed. The second half of the drive is the best part, imho.

Unfortunately the power differential between my little CRZ and the forced TSX in front makes for quite the boring scene in front going uphill, but at least you get to see the roads

That motorcycle in the Snake at 46:16... Jeez! I can't believe how close to the yellow he was in that corner considering that was nowhere near the best line for him there. Just wanting to give you heart failure for a second, eh?

PS Loved the start of your no muffler video too (got to see my old home). :-)

I know right! If the camera were inside the car you would have heard a couple "Holy **!" coming from me haha. Being a rider myself, I'm all to familiar with people not riding correct lines

It's the view looking backwards out of my car. Latigo Canyon -- raw, uncut, and unfiltered. You can even hear me call a motorcyclist a dumba$$ because he crossed the doubleyellow for absolutely no good reason at all. And watch the wind deflector -- you can see a small spot which is a reflection of the sun off the gear shift knob. And if you watch closely, you can see me move my hand to it and upshift and downshift as the various straights and corners unfold.

The first ten minutes are at a pretty good pace. The last five or so we are in some rougher road areas so the pace drops off a bit. But you also get to see the cyclists riding doublewide who frequently get the heart pumping as you round a corner. Why do they do that???
