I think this is a great idea. Even things like themes for the setting and maybe some challenges for our photography gurus.

How about having a COTM and a photo of the month? Basically keeping the COTM as is but having another poll for best photograph. That might help the less modified rides have a chance to show theirs off in different locations that is set by the moderators- ie. Mountain scene, industrial scene, water scene, etc... Like what CR-Z Canadian suggested

I think themes or submiting 1 really cool pic with scenery or action, take a selected amount of entries each month and have like a playoffs at the end. winner of every month go agaisnt each other, but need to submit new pics. and keep COTM also as normal.

if you do theme you have to change it to POTM (Picture of the Month) and people only submit 1 picture related to the Theme. (similar to the Alphabet soup in the off topic section but more about the car itself instead of just parts of it.)

Great ideas - looking like leaving it as is has the majority in-as-much-as the vote count stands. Anyone else before we close this one out and the mods/admin huddle up?

As I was taking photos to enter the September COTM, the contest was suddenly closed when several August runner-ups decided to enter their cars again. Wouldn't it be better to have a fresh selection each month?

Perhaps a waiting period of at least three months before being able to re-enter the COTM should be a rule. The contest could get stale if the same cars are entered month after month.
