Looks a bit slow... I'm guessing they are just standard engine wise, looks like they are setup like a race car in the suspension/wheel department and most of them look to have the mugen bodykit on it.

My wife translated a bit for me. The drivers are all famous Japanese drivers; some of them as old 75 years old. The announcers are making jokes about the old guys competing with the young guys.
