i dont think the ice itself does any harm.... but people who use brushes to scrape snow off their car - those stiff frozen brush bristles will certainly leave scratches.

the ice can scratch the paint when removing it by letting it slide off it happened to me so use caution.

Just don't touch it let it fall off normally! Whenever I have snow on my car I just leave it, clean off the windows but that's it.
