Well me and the wife have just drove a CRZ, well the best word to sum it up is very impressed and shocked. The Good Points MPG was a lot better than our T180 diesel and so was the low down acceleration, we found the car more than capable up to 70mph but will say that in 6th gear at 50mph overtaking would not be great with out dropping down a few gears. We found the handling and ride to be very good and sharp along with the brakes and was shocked at how good and responsive the car was even in normal mode (especially when you know it is only a little 1.5 engine) The Bad Points Unless you are 4ft tall the back seat is no use or ornament, and this maybe a small niggle but coming from a car with key-less entry and ignition I would have preferred the same as we never take the key fob out of our pocket. Would We Buy A CRZ Well the simple truth is we would in the GT spec but unfortunately Honda don't seem to do any good offers or deals on these so the answer is No, if Honda had some good offers (0% finance etc) then we would be talking figures now and not typing this....... And NOW Well after buying a CRZ sport I can tell you we are very very impressed and more so the more we get used to it, MPG is very very good 45mpg+ without trying and the oem stereo is just so good (built in sub as well) and it may look a bit naff but it really works very very well and sounds very good. The CRZ IMO is very underrated as if you leave it in gear and encourage it to rev like all Honda's do then it shifts very very well and I think handles on par or very close to my old EP3 (very shocked at this), Now Honda market this as a hybrid sports car and most like me think no its wants around 150bhp but I tell you I now disagree as it is exactly what Honda say it is and if encouraged to rev then its more than fast enough truth be known its just not a traffic light racer like a Type R. I will go as far to say if taken seriously rather than the Pruis hybrid attitude then this is a rival for an MX5 and we all now how many of them Mazda have sold. Here is a few pictures of small cosmetic mods I have done so far which is mainly improving Honda's crap footwell lighting and installing puddle and boot lights. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I have JDM wind deflectors in the post and have ordered a comfort pack today from Honda and might buy the rear spoiler, I think then that will be it for me. |
