Cool To All The Cars I've Loved Before...

I thought I'd start an Off-Topic Thread paying homage to all the sweet rides (both 2 and 4-wheeled) we've owned in the past (before getting our CR-Zs.)

Here's a few of mine...feel free to post your own!

My 2001 Harley Davidson Sportster XL883--Totally customized.

My late-great 2003 Subaru Impreza WRX Wagon (flooded with 3 feet of salt water thanks to Hurricane Ivan--USAA totaled it). R.I.P. "Short-Bus"

My 2005 Subaru Impreza WRX STI Sedan (replaced the Short Bus)

My 2005 Harley Davidson Dyna Superglide Custom FXDC--Customized even more than the Sporty was. Sold it when the wifey needed major back surgery and was going to be unemployed for almost a year.

I'm planning on getting another new Sportster next summer.

My sweet 2003 Jeep Wrangler Sahara. Bought it for thew wife here in Pensacola before PCSing to Utah in 2007. Traded her in on the '05 350Z. MAN, we had some fun times in that Jeep in Utah! The mountains, Moab, Mtn. Biking trips, etc. Goose used to drive it to school his entire Senior year. We'd have the top and the doors off for 3-4 months straight in Utah. God, I miss that Jeep...and that weather.

*Note* This picture was taken with the Jeep all Dolled-Up to trade it in. It was 6 years old at the time. THAT'S how clean I keep my rides!

My 2005 Nissan 350Z Roadster--Bought it used in Utah in 2009 with 24,000 miles on her. 350Zs have the most beautiful stock exhaust note of any reasonably affordable car, IMO.

My 2010 Chevrolet Camaro SS--What can I say... 426HP, 420 TQ STOCK. Passed everything but a gas station!

Okay... NEXT!

In the Navy and usually deployed - never really took pictures of the rides and in some places - didn't need one.. A trike or jeepney was alway available and cheap.. lol But here was a military retirement gift to self on Oahu.. Sporster XLH 1200 2003 Stage 1 and lowered. Put the HyperCharger on it. Stopped the blowby issues. A lot of great times with the wife riding on Oahu.

Well, before I owned my CR-Z I had this bad boy, but it used up too much gas

Just kidding. In all seriousness, the only car I ever owned before my CR-Z was a 2005 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited on 20" Marin Brothers wheels and a huge system

A rat's nest somehow developed in the engine bay somehwere, and rats had chewed brake lines causing a minor accident. Deciding the car probably wasn't safe for me to drive anymore, we did some small repairs and sold it. Using the money, I bought my CR-Z. The Mugen kit was a graduation gift

The wife and the bike (NSR250R), 20 years ago, in Japan. I've had many bikes before and after this one; but this is the only one I miss. Sold it for next to nothing the day before I left Japan; couldn't import it back to the US, but I tried.

Sweet bikes...I'd love to ride an NSR.

Since the wife and daughter both have rods in their backs and the boys are too "grown-up" to ride (and apparently it's "Gay" now), I'll be Solo with the Harley I get. It'll probably be another Sportster; maybe the new "Iron" XL 883.

The very first car to have my name and my name alone on it was a '94 Civic Dx sedan that was such a piece I didn't even get it on the road before I junked it and moved out west for a year.

^That being said, the only other car I've owned was a 2003 Honda S2000

Only mods I got to do were...

custom mount stealthy Kenwood 3 way headrest speakers with new Kenwood head unit,

snake the USB (iPod) chord to the center glove box,

and paint the wheels, (All with SS2CRZ's help)

before...

I unfortunately ended up having to jerk the wheel to avoid a head on collision and ended up spinning out on the interstate.

VERY unfortunate, but HELLO CR-Z!
