Default Toyota 86/Subaru BR-Z

So in all seriousness, who's contemplating trading their car in for one? Or at least picking one up on the side.

I won't be- the mileage on my Z is a Godsend for my job, I figure it just looks better, and I love having a hatch -but it seems like it competes right against our cars, and delivers some pretty amazing performance for the price.

Might have to seriously consider the facelifted version in a few years myself, it seems like an amazing vehicle. to Toyobaru/Subota for making a great enthusiasts' car.

No. Can't afford to trade in new car for new car for new car and these two cars don't make me want to. Also, zooming past the wanna-be tuned civics on the highway is TOO much fun in a hybrid.

No. 86/BRZ will sale so well that there will be a lots on the road. I love being rare on the road. And if I want a small RWD car, the 1-series bimmer is still on the top of my list.

I might trade in for the BR-Z or FR-S I will need to see what kind of MPG they get.

I honestly like the idea of it being a Scion here in the US. No haggle pricing, and really like the idea of a very base model that I can get without even so much as a Radio if I want. Why pay for stuff I will want to swap out anyway.

I tend to agree with this statement. In all honesty I see it being the new Celica under the Scion branding. Which fits into where the Celica left off. However the change from FWD to RWD was made. Subaru should have have leaned for AWD, but that may compete more directly with their own products. Doesn't mean I don't hold interest for the car. It does seem to be a good value for the hp ect. Which is why it will be popular. Just look at how many TC's are on the road.

The interior on the FRS is a real disappointment along w/ the tail lights and overall changes from how sexy the concept looked. Its just a normal coupe now and I'd def pic a 370z before jumping in to an FRS. BRZ, we'll see if they make any changes to the interior or how the supposed "STI" model ends up looking and then i'll make judgments. Until then, def keeping the CRZ.

The FRS concept doesn't even have an interior- I saw it at the L.A. Auto Show. To me it is a very impressive car. When I talked to the show rep they said 80% of what is on display will make it to production and they have not decided 100% on the interior yet. She also said if there is enough sales and if the car is popular they might come out with a turbo (I imagine what Subaru uses now for the WRX- just detuned maybe). Now that I am used to the CR-Z I am finding the lack of power its achilles heal and is the one serious draw backs on this car.
