We watch very few "new" shows, and was leaning towards Hulu+ and just having our basic $20 cable package for local TV. Just wondering if I am heading in the right direction. |

The newest version is out and now I think they start at $59. It is well worth the money especially with having Hulu +. They come with a 30 day money back, so you really can't go wrong. I definitely recommend you try it out.

Well I don't use the Roku, but I do stream a lot. I have to say I don't really miss TV at all... but then I never really watched "current" shows anyway. I find out from friends shows I might like... buy em on DVD or stream through Netflix and enjoy not paying a cable bill. There really isn't enough TV that I MUST see this moment for me to spend that kind of money.
On that note... a co-worker of mine went Roku and she loves it. I doubt you would have any real regrets unless you are addicted to the movie channel programming (showtime, HBO sort of stuff). I don't believe they license their stuff for streaming through Netflix or Hulu. Most of the other major channels are bringing their shows online though. |
