I commute about 60-90 minutes each way and I experience pain in my right foot about 45 minutes into the drive. By the time I reach work or home I am limping when I get out and start to walk. I am 6'3" and have the seat back as far as it will go. If I raise the seat high enough to get my foot at a comfortable angle my head is against the ceiling. Is it just me or is anyone else having the same problem? If so, what are you doing to cope? |

I am 6'0" I just drove cross country, ontop that I have metal in my ankle and my spine and didnt have any problems with it, but I also do not use cruise control so maybe that extra 3" on you has your foot angle crimped up? I remember someoen else on the forum who had to get custom seats cuz his seat was cutting his nerve in his legs so his legs were going numb, perhaps similar situation?

I got that when seat was positioned too close, so moved it back and it went away. But I'm pretty short so still have room to move back. Since yours is all the way back it obviously didn't help you. Sorry to hear it. Hope you find a solution.

What kind of foot pain? Is it in your arch? When you step down does it feel like a ripping or tearing in your arch? If so you need to see a doctor quickly.
When I had service truck it didn't have cruise control plus with the job I had, I had to do a lot of standing and climbing of ladders. I had the pain I described above and what it was was the tendon that joins the two front balls of your feet to the heel that runs through your arch was ripping away from the heel bone. I had to get steroid shots and at night I had to wear what looked like a ski boot to keep my foot extended until it healed. Fortunately I changed jobs where I wasn't on my feet so much and it healed quickly. I asked the doctor what would happen if it didn't heal or got too bad and he said it would require surgery and I would be down for six months. So please go get it checked out. Moved to the proper area.
