Does anyone have an eBay store?

Hi all.

I'm in the midst of starting a secondary business for myself using drop shipping programs and eBay. I want to open up an eBay store but was wondering if anyone here has any experience with it.

A couple questions,

1. is it necessary to register as a business within the state and obtain a business license?

2. tax reporting, is it done via a 1099 at the end of the year in personal taxes or would this have to be filed separatly as business taxes?

reason taxes are an issue is because ebay will make you charge tax for anything you sell within your own state (California guys buys from California seller) but then those sales taxes have to go somewhere. Does anyone have any information or any help?
