I just grabbed a CR-48 on eBay, seeing how Samsung will be $500 with only somewhat better CPU, I think I can manage with a $300 CR.
Not sure how useful 100MB/mo data will be, though - seems awfully little. I eat up at least 300 on my iPhone doing just work email. |

Dammit. I always forget to check Craigslist - could've picked it up today for pretty much the same money as eBay.
Will definitely post up. The evil Googlers didn't pick me for beta test either, but I'm still anxious to try the cloud life even for $300 of my own dough

Got the CR-48 today - awesome looking netbook. Thin, light, large screen. Love the minimalistic design, giant touchpad. Not so big on the fake right click yet.
One thing that blew me away was support for Russian phonetic keyboard - nobody does that out of the box as far as I know. Instant on is nice, battery life is nice, 100MB of Verizon 3G/month is nice, but mostly a bait. Useful shortcut keys instead of F-keys are also cool. Caps Lock key is gone: "We expect this will improve the quality of comments across the web". FTW. |
