Default For Star Wars geeks only!

I found this today, just some FYI.
Could Black Trees Blossom on a World With Two Suns? - FoxNews.com

I heard Star Wars was coming to Blu Ray in September and does anybody know when the west coast Star Wars convention is? I saw the date for the one in Florida but can't find the one for here. Any information would be greatly appreciated!

**I AM NO EXPERT!!!**
I have a question about this: how would the planet rotate around TWO suns? The gravitational pull(s) would not allow for a constant rotation, would it? The pull from one sun would pull it into the other sun or would the rotation around the suns look like a figure eight?

Once again-- **I AM NO EXPERT!!!**

Article mentions this about the orbit

Quote:
In order for a binary star system to exist, planets within the system must revolve around these two stars in one of two ways. Either the stars are clustered together so that the planet orbits both at the same time; or the planet orbits one sun with the other so far away that it is unable to affect the planet’s orbit.
You can assume if the stars are close together one is orbiting the other

ya, the way i was seeing it was like our solar system, our planets revolve around the sun but then the entire system could rotate around another bigger sun in the distance.

REALLY?! WOW, I have never heard of anybody not seeing it. It's one of those "love it or hate" it films and I think it is one of the all time best films that was ever made.

Honestly, you probably shouldn't get your hopes up. Its status as a cultural icon is secure, but as a new experience, I don't think even the original trilogy have aged well.
