Driving home late last night I encountered a fellow in a 99-2000 Civic Si (the one that is stolen a lot). We were both stopped at a red light, and he kept revving and being terribly annoying. The Si driver was the prototypical "ricer." ![]() He had on a sideways baseball hat, and was playing ridiculously loud music with all of his windows down. His basketball sized exhaust tip made his car sound like a dying lawnmower, and if I had a dollar for every sticker he had on the car, I would be a rich man. ![]() My car now looks quick (especially with the new Enkei RF1's...but the power mods have not been done yet), so the Si driver wanted to test me out. ![]() The street that we were on is known as one gigantic speed trap, so there was no way I would even consider messing with this guy, but he really was asking for a lesson... I let my car rock back and forth at the light to make him think that I was going to race, and when the light turned green, he peeled out in all his FWD glory, and woke everyone up within a 3 mile radius. I left leisurely and waited for the fun to begin... Sure enough, a cop pulls out of the parking lot across the street and lights up the Si driver ![]() As I drive by, the Si driver flips me off and I wave goodnight |

Later on I felt kind of bad for the guy, but then I remembered that its people like him who make our (Honda enthusiasts) car insurance expensive, make cops harass us, and the average person think that we are all dbags driving recklessly and hopelessly racing everything on the street...
