23 years. Navy Radioman Chief converted to Information Systems Chief (SW). Retired Active Duty in 03. Still work for the Navy (Cyber Stuff) as a Supervisory GS14 (CDR Equivelent).

Lets see. Straight out of A School in 80 (18 years old), flew to Philippines, spent 8 days in Olongapo waiting for the USS Ranger to get there. For those who know, use your imagination. Boarded, did 3.5 West Pacs in 5 years. Then on some mobile communication detachments for forward command post etc. Did Adak Ak, Phil, the sand boxes, Guam, Hawaii etc.
Last ship was the USS California (CGN) and did a Crackpac (South America).
Can't remember all the countries off the top of me head, but includes Kenya, Australia, Pakistan, Shrilanka, Tasmania, Korea, Thailand, Panama, Guatamala, Columbia, Manta, Curacao and some sandy places.

Good stuff. Despite my lack of an apparent haircut now-a-days, still miss it sometimes. But still in the game so to speak and still get to travel around a bit.
