nice... i never used to listen to it either... in fact i used to make fun of people who listened to it haha... i was slowly drawn in by the smooth vocals of some of the singers, balleric and uplifting sounds of it... since i first hear ASOT 350 i was hooked... so about 2 years now...

and in case u missed it, check out Livesets.us Streaming Download Livesets Dj Mixes for more downloads... episode 468 was also live and pretty good... episode 467, i thought was really good too...

Does anyone count vocal trance as a sub category?

I'm a fan of a mix of random songs. I need a voice and words however, just an extended beat isn't enough. Loving a newer song: Happiness by Alexis Jordan. Kim Leoni from the euro side of the pond is a favorite artist as well.

(aware this is more of a dance song but I have two slower mixes that I love!)

Hmm how does one define trance?

I've always gone with the assumption it is electronically mixed slower dance songs meant for more listening than movement.

my favorite definition of Trance is: "Trance is a Drug and Armin is my dealer." haha...

since i'm still sorta new to the genre (about 2 years), i think it has more to do with uplifting sounds through electronic music... this can also include vocals on the tracks... if you hear a song and it makes you want to chair rave then it would count as trance lol... the tempo is also a little quicker at about 125-130bpm... any of the songs posted in this thread would suffice as trance i guess...
