So.. I'd love to own a CRZ, and I hope some day I will.
Until then, I guess I'll drive the next best thing. Gets the same gas mileage, it's classy, it doesn't have the blind spot problems the CRZ has, and it only cost me $550.

It's my 1988 Honda CRX DX!!!

Check out that super clean body

And the pristine factory interior

Don't forget about my OEM miss-match taillights either. They add about 5 hp each.

So it's not the prettiest thing in the world. The hood latch cable was cut too, as someone in the past had tried to steal it from the previous owner. So I took that all out and it has some classy $10 hood pins from Autozone. So now the thieves can get into the engine bay even easier.

I had some problems when I got it. It kept bogging and dying, but I took apart the distributor, and cleaned it all up, especially contact points, and put it back together, and it's been running like a champ since.

It's got a D15B1 motor (only about 70hp and came from an 88-91 civic dx hatch) Instead of the D15B2 that someone blew up in the past.

About 300k on the chassis. about 120k of that is the current motor.

Honestly. Despite all it's faults and fatigue, I am way happy to have it!
I've wanted one of these for forever, so I'm glad to have it.
I'm hoping it lasts long enough for me to get a CRZ, and then I'll probably turn it into a autoX beater.

It's a gem. It runs, and gets you from A to B, pretty cheap to own, and the price of admission was pretty sweet, too. Didn't set your CR-Z savings account back too far.
Good for you!
Hope you can take a picture of your X and your Z, side by side, very soon.
