Default New from STL
Hey guys (and gals). New guy checking in from Missouri. Shopped around locally and the dealerships had no more than 2 in stock, some had none. Most were CVT models and or EX w/nav. Seeing how I never would use bluetooth/nav/ all the other little features of an EX, I set out looking for a base.Took forever to find the one i wanted (Black base 6 speed w/ black interior). Do you know how hard it is to find one with a black interior!!?? The closest dealership that had one is in Wisconsin. I'm actually going to pick up my 2012 CR-Z tomorrow there.

Funny thing is I had a pessimistic outlook of the car in the first place. Just by the specs alone I figured it wouldn't be worth my time. Since I couldn't find a used car that i wanted and the right price range I decided to go test drive a CR-Z, needless to say I was impressed. Its not too bad, not as slow as I thought and it handles pretty good stock. Anyways, thats my story and I'll be posting a build thread sometime soon.

Well 5 hours there and 6 hours back in the worst possible conditions, snow and ice and strong winds but I made it safe with the Z! Ill post up some pictures soon

Welcome! Your initial skepticism of the CR-Z is something I shared when I was looking to buy a car. My short list included the CR-Z, the Prius, and the Insight. What did they have in common? They were all very nice hybrids that can be driven off the lot for less than $25,000.

In any event, what won you over? Was it the handling? Was it having 110 horses instead of 98 horses?

glad you and your new baby made it back. I'm looking to travel out of state this weekend to, to check out one. an '11 EX w/Nav. hope I can make the deal and drive it home!
