I'm Eugene and i'm checking in all the way from Malaysia. I'm currently driving a JDM DC5 Type-R and I'm seriously considering switching to the CRZ. Malaysia will be getting its first batch (yes, we are a tad bit slow when it comes to embracing the Hybrid market) of CRZ's next week. My dad is the General Manager of a Honda dealership and i'll have first dibs on the car. Just wondering, and wanted to hear it from the horses mouth, would it be a good idea to sell off my DC5 and get the CRZ? I know its 2 totally different vehicles with totally different focuses, but will i be disappointed? Appreciate all the feedback.

Firstly, hello and welcome to the forum.
I cannot help you on the car-swap, but I think you'll find most of us (coming from a huge variety of other cars) are very happy we made the change to the CR-Z. With your Honda connection, I'd be interested to see how the car sells in the Malay market. We have some Australian members here, waiting their first shipment as well. Do you know yet, what models you are getting? There are some major differences between what Honda has offered in various markets (see: Differences in USDM, EDM, JDM CR-Z ) Good luck with your decision!

im definitely digging the looks of the CRZ. its a looker for sure.
however, going from 220bhp to something with 122bhp only might be too much of a system shock. i'm definitely interested to know what those of you with S2k's or RSX's think about the drive. |

I went from a bone-stock USDM S14.1 to this, so the power shock wasn't too bad for me; there's guys on here that've gone from much higher powered cars though, and they love the CR-Z as much as anyone!
Hope you decide to make the switch. I haven't regretted it, and I don't think you will either
