Been enjoying the CRZ too much, going to be tough to keep the average monthly miles down for this lease. Have seen only 3 or 4 other CRZs on the road, and I have traveled in mine all the way down to Maryland and up to Boston. Seen two locally in the last two weeks though. One in Lincoln and one in Cranston ( beeped at me in greeting). Had one cop stop me for "racing by him" just after turning onto an on ramp while I was in econo mode. Definitely a matter of looking faster than it is. Been a joy to drive so far. Will be interesting to see how it handles in the snow... coming up in a few months. |

I am happy I didn't lease mine. I have had it for 9 months and already have 16,900 miles as of today. Plus I caught the mod bug. Just ordered K&N intake and Tein springs . Next rims etc...
You will probably have to buy your cause it will be hard not to drive it. |

Heh, that is one thing that surprises me as well about the CRZ. First car I have had where I am even thinking of applying mods. As a lease that will not be in the cards.
The lease was too hedge my bets... I wonder what will be out in 3 years time that might be one upping the mileage. The MPG ratings seem to go up in spurts. Some standard little cars (Civic, Fit, Yaris, Corollas) in some configurations get the just about the same mpg as the CRZ now. I am hoping that by gen 3 of the fit we may see better mpg as well. Of course the Honda Beat as linked in one of the other forum threads might be a reality and something to check out by then as well. As to adding miles on the CRZ - that will just get worse, now that winter is approaching, trying to avoid adding miles by using the motorcycle is going to get harder. Either way I'm enjoying it - and yes if it came down to it, I would purchase the CRZ to avoid mileage penalties down the road. |

Welcome Skavenslave!
I guess you know all about the forum, having lurked for a while. Good to have you as a participating member now. And glad to hear you are enjoying the car. I hear you about the mods - never did anything more than bug deflectors and mud guards before, but now that I'm old enough to know better, I actually have that itch as well. Look forward to hearing more from you.

Congratz and welcome!
Our auto insurance was set up for 7500 miles per year on each of two cars. Our Mazda3 Hatch is good for those few miles, but not our CR-Z ![]() Have to call our agent...
