Talking Chicagoland area new CR-Z EX 6MT owner!

Hello everyone! I picked up my 2011 CR-Z EX 6MT from Honda of Lisle on Saturday, September 10th. This dealership drove over 6 hours, instate, to pick this car up for me! It had 451 miles on the clock when I picked it up, mostly highway miles.

As most of you know these cars are pretty hard to come by because of the Tsunami but what makes my car even more rare was the fact that there was only ONE SSM EX w/6MT in the state of Illinois available, so I'm very appreciative of them finding it and bringing it in for me. I HAD to have a manual because its the ONLY way to go IMO. My previous car, 2010 Honda Fit sport had the 5AT and although it was fun to drive with those paddle shifters, there's NO replacement for 3 pedals IMO. Before the Fit I had 3 manuals, 2007 Mini Cooper S, 2005 Crossfire Limited and my first new car, 2000 Contour SVT. I was so impressed with the CR-Z that I test drove (Milano Red base CR-Z w/6MT) that I had to have one and now I got it!

I have some future mods planned for the car:
-35% metallic window tint
-K&N Typhoon intake
-universal Magnaflow muffler
-better tires, maybe wheels too

I love to detail cars on the side and will keep my SSM looking its absolute best always using a variety of products:

-Klasse sealant glaze

-Griot's Garage machine polish #2 & 3, Best of Show and caranuba stick

-Zaino Clear Seal and Z-5 pro

I just got into Zaino and I must say I'm BLOWN AWAY I was reluctant to use it because of all the hype and nowadays things NEVER seem to live up to the hype, well, as far as Zaino is concerned.....IT DOES I will still use the Griot's random orbitals that I have because come spring, after a brutal Chicagoland winter again, there's going to be swirls and general grime that has to go and their system is awesome. I'll end up claying and using machine polish #2 on the car, follow that up with their caranuba to tie me over in the early spring, then switch to my acrylic Klasse sealant glaze and follow that with the Zaino. Each product gives the paint finish its own look but right now the Zaino makes the metallic look 3D and almost moving around in there!!! My previous car was a 2010 Honda Fit sport that was the awesome Orange Revolution (a color available on the CR-Z overseas) and let me tell you, it always looked good but once I used the Zaino Clear Seal on it, it looked almost fake but in a good way. I will always miss that color but IMO the SSM on the CR-Z makes the car look very high end, almost looks like a German car.

In closing I will tell you that I'm into all types of cars, both old and new and really enjoy driving and with the CR-Z w/ the 6 speed, I REALLY, REALLY WILL LOOK FORWARD TO DRIVING IT EVERY TIME I GET IN IT

Nope, although I do know the person that drives that one as well lol. The one I'm talking about is driven by a girl and is on Work Carving Head wheels.
