Hello Forum members from North Florida. Due to a very recent separation, I traded my '07 Lexus SC430 for an '11 CRZ EX (Silver) last Saturday. Got a good deal on a 36 mo. lease, cut my payments in half for half the amount of time and doubled my mpgs with cheaper insurance. The SC430 was an awesome car and I'll miss it but you gotta do what you gotta do. I used to own a CRX back in the early 90s and the CRZ is real similar but better. I've had several Hondas over the years...my last was an '01 S2000, another awesome car. Anyhow, just thought I'd introduce myself. I have an appt next Saturday to get 15% Llumar ceramic tint all round on the CRZ and am looking for a center armrest. Any suggestions on that...aftermarket vs. OEM? Looking forward to learning all I can here...

Welcome, rcroller, and congrats on the car! I have the OEM armrest and love it. There are several threads on the armrests - use the search tab and you'll probably get lots of results.

The aftermarket drop-in armrest is by Zeta so you can find info on it in the vendors section too. OEM flips up out of the way if you need it to, while I've read others say you can pull the Zeta one to use that rear cupholder which can also be a benefit (although the only time I would want that cupholder is probably a long trip and I would rather have the armrest on trips).

Install on the OEM kinda gave me pause so I kept putting it off until I had a big block of time. Finally my son just went out and put the thing in for me and said it was pretty easy if you just followed the directions.

Thanks, TwoZs...I ended up ordering the Zeta one just for ease of installation. If I'm not happy with it I'll go with the OEM but will have to pay someone to install it... watched the YouTube video and am confident that I will break some plastic along the way...lol. Hopefully the Zeta will do the trick.

Hey, croller. I'm a newbie also and also from North Florida. Got my Z two weeks ago and can't wait to drive it every day. Also ordered the OEM arm rest but am waiting for it to come in. I'll post my impressions after it's installed. I'm glad to see that TwoZs likes his so much, I've had some reservations cause I use the rear cup holder daily.

I've had several Hondas since '95, the wife is driving a 2010 Crosstour. I tell her that her car had a little one, lol. Bought the Z 'cause it's sooo cool looking and like the gas mileage. Only have just over 200 miles on it so far but it's so much more fun than my '02 4Runner!

I'm glad I found this forum, it's a great resource!

Hey TallyBlue, coincidence?...I live in Tallahassee too! Just got my Silver one at Proctor on Saturday. Have an appointment at Super Dave's on Monroe for Llumar tint. Will see how the Zeta armrest works out. If I'm not happy with it I'll send it back and get the OEM. Just didn't want to deal with installation of the OEM if I could avoid it. Are you doing your own? If so maybe you could help me out? I'm mechanically inclined enough to break something for sure! lol

Just wanted to mention Im in Tally as well. So, there are now at least 3...Very cool. I got mine from Proctor last November. I think I was the first one they sold, but could be wrong. I got white, what about u guys/gals? edit: silver is nice as well! Love mine, have around 8200 miles on it so far. Gas mileage has only gotten better as I have had it. I started at around 34 mpg on avg and now I avg anywhere from 38-42 mpg

Hey Justin...small world...that's for sure! Good to know I can look for better milage as it breaks in...I've got the CVT and am at 35 mpg right now but only 275 miles so far. Proctor has a white Mugen on their floor right now, but the $10K for the body kit seemed a bit steep...lol. We'll have enough members to do a meet here before long! So who else out there lives in Tally?
