CRZ OG Roll Call...

This is an OG Thread, All Pre-Release owners or still on the fence of a Z must sign in here so we can see who was into the Z before it hit the road. Thread should be locked after 8/24 so no late commers can jump on the wagon. Dont know if this is any use but i thought it would be fun to know who was here first before the CRZ craze hits the rest of the world.

OK after reading through some of the posts up i figured a brief history or story of events that lead you to the CRZ would be nice to share.

Always been into wagons and hatchbacks, my first car was an 88 dodge OMNI. Loved that car, had a SICK system in the back and that **** would drop base. Went on to a Starion and **** bitch kicked ass too. At thoughs times i wasnt much on the tuning just and styling of the car. After many years of no car (license problems....like not having one) i finally got a chance to get a 91 CR-X DX. First things first removed restictor plate from intake and reconfigured the air intake. Then much more then i ever figured i would do with a car, all the way till the end four years later. Which lead me to a GTi for another four years. I wanted this new "CR-X" since my first day i had one, 8 years later my dreams come true and i was not let down.

I've been tracking the car since the introduction of the "concept" design. I drove an EX CVT with navi yesterday (two on the lot, both with CVT) and have to admit that I was disappointed. Of course, I've driven nothing but manual shift cars all my life. (The household owns a '06 Civic LX auto, but I don't drive it much.) I most certainly will have to drive a 6-speed before I move on. The styling and handling lived up to my expectations, but the CVT seems very wrong for this car. So far, who has tested the CVT?

I have been following the CRZ since the 2007 show car made it's debut.

Placed my order on June 19, 2010 for a north shore blue EX manual

Still waiting to see my first CRZ in the flesh

Placed my order for a dark pewter at around the beginning of July and now have to wait until October. I have been dreamin about this car since I first saw it before its official release in February 2010.

i drove a CVT and i was actually impressed with the drive of it... maybe b/c i was just driving an '09 LX Civic just b4 i got to the dealership... but i liked it a lot and i know the 6MT will be wayyy better than the CVT... str8 line videos show that much at least...
