Ok, I have a kenwood mobile I use as a base station that I will be moving back and forth to the car. and I have a hand held coming on friday. Got a 2 meter mag mount antenna in the mail today and will be hooking it up tomorrow. Curious to see if the charging and assist make as much noise on it as they do with my cb radio.

no.. I have not installed anything yet, I am planning on installing a the ham version of a LOJACK system (APRS) but not much more than that yet. I have a Ham Tracker that I have ordered threw a web site..

Hey, I saw here that you have a crz and are interested in ham radio. I have a pearl white crz and am a ham radio operator. I am getting ready to put a radio in my car and wondered if you have installed one yet? If so, did you have any problems with it? I have a cb in mine now and I know that braking and the assist motor both cause a lot of noise in the cb but it is probably very inferior to the kenwood 2 meter radios quality. Thanks
