Just saw your post about front plates in WI - they're required on "passenger cars and light trucks." CR-Z falls into the former group.
They're not required on "Municipal, state, apportioned vehicles and base plate tractors" which could be your vehicle depending on if you work for the state - but these don't usually get issued a front plate to put on and you said you had one, so I'm assuming you don't.
Just giving you a heads-up because if you try to throw that line to a cop when they stop you, you almost definitely will get a ticket for not knowing the law and trying to tell the cop they're wrong. I'm going to be moving back to WI in a few months (probably) and plan to put my front plate back on since I don't want to ever get hassled for my tints, which are legal here in FL.
