Hi there wu36mcg! You can sit in park/neutral and rev the engine to 3,000 RPM. If you watch the charge/assist gauge, it will show a blue charge bar (or more) and start recharging the IMA battery pack. You can see this in the battery level display as more bars fill in. I've done this in the North Georgia mountains after a particularly vigorous run in Sport mode where I pulled the battery level down to 3 or fewer bars (going on a long uphill.) Of course, when the battery is pretty low, it will start recharging even while driving normally (without coasting or braking.) Please note that it's okay to run the battery down now and again. You'll get a feel for it after putting some more miles on the car. Please do ask questions any time!
