Would like to but not quite sure what all would be needed to make it work through the speakers.

I remember seeing this pic floating around this forum at one point:

Not the mini version, and it's not fully integrated (the dash is just a dock), but I'm sure it'd be possible.

Looks like a single din with a holder for the iPad.

Just did a lil research only to find that they cancelled the project due to legal concerns sorry to get your hopes up

Google "scosche ikit". They have a vid on YouTube.

to play the iPad through the speaker system all you need is a 3.5mm male stereo jack to 3.5mm male stereo jack lead, one end goes in to ipad headphone socket other end plugs in to 3.5 aux socket by the 12v socket.I will look in to coming up with something for the ipad mini when I can get my hands on one which looks to be around the middle of november in the uk?.

I looked into an ipad integration, I found a place somewhat local to me that would do the custom dash and integration mod for $350-$500 depending on labor. Obviously does not include the ipad, but the price could be worse and IMO your getting an awesome ICE system. I would imagine that other custom audio shops would be around the same price. The down side is I lost all the information, including the phone numbers to the shop, when i moved and unfortunately can not remember the name of the place. I feel like a moron. I found out about it at a licensed apple retailer at Patriot Place (Gillette Stadium) for anyone who really wants to find out in my area.

Also keep in mind that price does not include a CD player, so you loose that completely. They told me they could put a "low profile" CD player behind the ipad. The down side to that was that you would have to manually move the ipad to access it and it would cost another $350.
