Yesterday, My Automatic Climate Control unit was working fine, No issues and Auto-Stop was working as well. This morning (a cold morning at that) I noticed my ACC unit was not on... I tried to turn it on and the LCD would not light up (same goes with the little lights on the defroster buttons) Also.. It looks like my vehicle wont auto-stop now as well. is the ACC and auto-stop co-related?? regardless.. it looks like the whole unit is dead... Anybody else have an issue with this? It happened just this morning so I haven't had time to take a closer look... Do you guys think there might be a fuse involved with all of this? Cold mornings are not my favorite mornings.. EDIT: It would help if i provided Vehicle information... 2011 CRZ (non EX Model) 6MT |

The defroster (Front) button, if on, DOES disable the 'Auto Stop'. I use the 'Front' button all the time with the A/C off, if not required, to deliberatley disable the A/S. If it was say, around 30F or 50F in the car why would the A/C? come on? |

Yea - I have not noticed this issue on the Forum before.. Looks like a trip in for some warranty service.. Let us know what the issue is/was and how the service department handled it.

Didn't someone blow a fuse, and found several seemingly unrelated systems were affected?
I just cannot find the thread right now... Teknicalissue, did you check for open fuses?

Hey guys!
Just want to give you guys the scoop of what it was. When I got home I popped the fuse cover and found that my ACC fuse blew. I went ahead and replaced it and now everything is working as it should. Including Auto stop. Is it me or is it just weird that Auto Stop is reliant on that ACC fuse... |

Maybe with the fuse blown, the Autostop or computer can't make a decision. Auto Stop is in part reliant on the environmental settings..

My thoughts too, Scotty.
But that would mean that even with the climate control "off", it must still be telling the ECU that it is off. Perhaps the logic is simpler than having to query the climate control as to what it is up to, every time the brakes get applied al low speed. Dunno. Glad teknicalissue got his answer, and shared it. Wonder what caused the fuse to blow in the first place?
