I've honestly never used one in 18 years. I suppose if I were to use one, I'd try to flush mount it somewhere, or if that's not possible, maybe mount it under the lip in front of the pocket above the cupholders?

It's an odd shape to flush mount. Putting it under the lip was considered but it gets in the way since I have to access that compartment every day for my gate opener. Honestly considering throwing in the back by the amp. The only time I ever really use it is when I'm tailgating or when some ghetto car pulls up next to me rattling to pieces.

Can you crack the box open and remove the potentiometer? Then you could just drill a hole wherever you wanted.

Silent update.

Yes, there are some fitment issues. No, it's not done. Yes, I am OCD. Yes, it's driving me insane. Moving up to ultrasuede next and then Alcantara for the final wrap.

Upholstery definitely has a steep learning curve, but you will always find a way to do something better and neater. Once I finish this I think I could redo it in about 3 days tops. 2 if I was in a hurry.

Thank you sir! It looks better in person honestly but It's coming along. Sadly, I Haven't had as much time to work on it with this massive project we're trying to finish up for Miami-Dade PD.

Actually a pretty impressive project. Looking forward to how it turns out and I and the forum appreciate the blow by blow details...

Hopefully I'll be able to make a kit or something if anyone else wants one. As long as it stands up to my standards at least.
