I'm running a 700w RMS 5-channel Rockford Fosgate amp that is properly grounded and using thick enough wires. I only ask if this may be a battery issue as I read in another thread that the builder had replaced his 12v with a new one. I also read that these are not standard auto 12v batteries, but rather something like a deep-cycle marine battery. Any input on any of this is appreciated.

Once I had time to do a legit amount of wire shuffling, I discovered that sending a signal to the rear-right speaker was causing a protection fault in the amp. So, that's that.
Any info on the battery, though?

I'm pushing a 500 watt amp right now with no problems what so ever so I doubt it's the battery. Are you sure your speaker wiring is correct? I've never heard this of this kind of problem before. Can you post a sound clip?
