YouTube - Lexus CT 200h review

I just watched this review and found something fun at the end. The CT200h 0-62mph time can be 1min6sec in ECO mode without going into power mode.

Watched some reviews on YouTube, noticed they often gave the Lexus a pass on things reviewers beat up the CR-Z over. Surprise, if you price it at over $10,000 more, you can get better reviews, and be called a "Sport hybrid" even if it takes over 9 seconds 0 - 60.

Oh, well. Equity isn't something us humans are very good at.

If there was a popular Lexus back in the 80's and early 90's that a lot of people were hoping that the the CT 200h would be a resurection of, there would be disappointed reviewers ripping into the CT 200h's performance as well.

The bottom line is that both cars perform very similarly, but the CR-Z does it for around $10,000 less.

Getting a full hybrid (as opposed to getting a mild hybrid like the CR-Z) and the better gas mileage that comes with a full hybrid, getting a back seat, and getting Lexus interior quality and features will be well worth $10,000 more to some buyers, so I think both cars are going to sell equally well.

sorry to say, has ANYONE besides myself, actually driven a CT200h?? that car has absolutely NO FEELING whatsoever... it is an entirely numb feeling from start to finish... and talk about slow, i gave it full throttle and it did not seem to want to move... i think it's overpriced for what u get... i'd much rather just have a Corolla, and that's a pretty bad thing to say...

NOTHING about it is CR-Z...

I agree fully with this post except for one thing. The Lexus CT200h will likely outsell the CRZ by a factor of 2 to 1. The CRz is very narrow market car. It will always sell in low quantities. And that is perhaps the very best feature of the CRZ for me

I've seen the videos and actually went to Lexus's website and compared them.

CT Hybrid Premium vs the CR-Z EX CVT

Price Difference - 7600
Better City MPG's - 43 to 35
Seats - 5 (more weight)
Engine - 1.8 I4 to 1.5 I4
Hp - 98@5200 to 122@6000
Torque - 142@4000 to 123 @1000
Curb Weight - 3,130 lb to 2707
0-60 - 9.8sec to 9.7sec

To me, the extra 7 grand that your paying for is the Lexus name.
