Default MPG Numbers

What kind of MPG numbers are you seeing on your current hybrid car?

Are you meeting the factory MPG specs or did you expect better numbers?

We all should know what the factory MPG specs are.

I'm averaging no less than 36. Usually around 40-41,42. (even sport at times)
I expect that to go up too when I drop in the K&N air filter. My dad has done that with his and says just that- no new intake, gives it another 2mpg/avg.

Keep in mind - the thread is 15 months old, started way before CR-Z release...

Hi,

Right on the money. I average about 39 mpg overall.

LoL! This is a good Q. I for one will answer it now seeing no one paid any attention before.

Good find, Talk2meGOOSE!

Yes, I will.

IMO that EPA sticker is bull. I get 42 mpg highway going 75 mph (CVT)... about 45mpg if i go 65mph.

My tanks with some really stupid driving habits at times are averaging 41 mpg.

In contrast my Dodge Charger with a claimed 25mpg highway on the window sticker usually gets about 18mpg at 70mph.

I have to agree with holeydonut.

I think it takes no real effort to best the EPA sticker's numbers.

Getting to know the car more and more i believe that when the engine is broken-in i can get 48-50 mpg with some careful driving.
