I think Accessory you saw is a different design. Did you buy the car new or was it pre-owned?

Do you have XM? That would be aftermarket.

There's just shy of a gazillion 7.5 amp fuses on the car. Some that might have a mechanic on the passenger side include TPMS, passenger air bag indication, lots of air cond circuits, audio nav-unit, handsfree controls, and passenger door lock actuator.

I'm betting this is the IOD fuse used to maintain the cars systems during transit. The fuse is probably removed when the dealer receives the car to do the pre-delivery inspection.

I'm sure it is nothing to worry about.

I would think that you are correct - I have checked every circuit against the fuse box panel, and there are no missing fuses... There is also nothing that is not functioning, so I guess we will have to see...

Thank you for your input, it put my mind to rest...

Dan

Id put money on that as well, there are several things that happen in pre-delivery inspection. My guess would be it was on the floor and the peon that parked it just put it in the glovebox.

this is the case. I was there when they unloaded my car off the truck fresh off the boat, direct from Japan. I ordered mine and waited 3 months for delivery and I was there the day they got it. I had to wait around while they removed all the plastic and slime and installed the fuses and accessories. they took some fuses out, and put other fuses in.

PS did you know your car gets shipped covered in a layer of slime? it's like amniotic fluid or some strange crap lol. i thought it was pretty cool. guess it's meant to protect the paint.

Smile fuse in glove box ?

having spoken to my dealership about the mysterious fuse in various owners glove boxes it appears to be a
"TRANSIT FUSE".this is removed when transporting the vehicle from japan,it shuts down various modules and prevents the engine from starting.during pre-delivery inspection checks this should be replaced, but the dealership technicians are not realising the fuse is in the glovebox.hence they grab another fuse fit it so when you find this fuse in the glove box there is no where to fit it and the fuse holders are all full.
hope this is of some assistance
regards mike
