Default OEM 2012 Black Interior Parts Now Available

Last week I noticed the black armrest being sold on this link's website. If you scroll down a little you'll see it. So I went to a Honda dealer down the street and asked if the center console was available in Graphite Black (that's the color's name) and under the 2011 parts list it isn't. But then he searched under the 2012 parts list and it was. I told him that I only wanted to buy the center console from them because I was planning on getting the armrest from that website that I listed because they had it at such a great price. He asked me what their price was and matched it. He told me that the total for the armrest was $283. I then asked "what about the rest of the stuff?" I of course meant what was the combined total. He played around with his computer and gave me like a 20% discount on all of the parts. I ordered them last Friday and they came in yesterday. I haven't had them installed because they charge $148 for installation and after buying the parts I told myself to wait 'till next month because my car funds are tight at the moment. They gave instructions in case I wanted to do it myself, but I kid you not, the instructions are 10 pages long with 50 steps. I also don't have all of the tools it asks for.

The color ID sku for Graphite Black is NH167L. Again, you have to ask them to look under the 2012 CR-Z's parts list. The prices come out to 0.00. So if your parts person is kind, they might transfer the prices from 2011 parts onto the the 2012's.

Here are the codes for the parts and the prices listed compared to the prices I paid.

Armrest console: 08U89SZT120. List price is $393. The fellow sold it to me for $283.

Center console: 83450SZTG01ZB. List price is $83.63. I paid $66.90.

Handbrake rectangle lid : 83442SZTG1ZB. List price is $7. I paid $5.60.

Those 4 circle trim clips that go on the bottom of the center console: 90667TC0U01ZA. List price for each clip is $.45, but he charged me $.36. I had to order 4 so the total was $1.44.

My equipment/parts total was $356.94 plus a $31.23 sales tax. So everything, including tax, came out to $388.17.

I'll try to post pictures of the parts and the invoice soon. I need to borrow a camera from my girlfriend or sister because I only have a Film SLR at the moment.

The manager also told me that if I get him the outside door visor part number, he might be able to order it and sell it to me for a price that is a lot less than what venders are charging. He just has to go through some red tape since that visor's safety hasn't been tested against US standards or something. I know that might anger some people on this board who paid a lot for those visors, but you'd be helping fellow board members save few bucks if you'd share that part number.

Here are the pictures:

Community Honda in Whittier, Califrornia. I'll stop by tomorrow after work to see if they would sell the parts at these prices to people over the phone or online. It's a small dealership so I have no idea if they will or not.

I just gave Tom, the parts manager there, a call and he said that he'll offer people the same offer he offered me. You just have to tell him that I told you about it so he knows exactly what parts you are talking about. My name is Saul by the way. Tom is an awesome guy, g0th0. He's the one that told me that if I get a hold of the part number for the JDM door window visor he would probably be able to order it and give it to walk ins for a great price.

I did ask him if he's willing to do mail orders for people who are not in the area and he said he really can't offer that because they are a small dealership and they have to show the parts to the costumers in person in time of pick up. So again, he will only do orders for people who will pick up the parts in person. He said that people elsewhere might want to see if a Honda Parts department near them would offer them something similar.

Yeah, the group buy is like $200 plus shipping. Tom said if he could get them, it would be a lot less than that price.

I just uploaded pictures into the first post. Maybe folks can show the picture of my invoice to their parts person at their Honda Dealer and get the same price or a better one. I hope this helps, folks.

Very nice find and post, Saulutations! I'm headed to my dealership this am for my A-1 service. I'll be sure to ask about the center console. I just installed the Clazzio's, black on black w/blue stitching, earlier this week

Now I'll need to sell the grey armrest!
