The manual doesn't say much and I want to make my car "less" sensitive to the changes in light. Are the settings for sensor sensitivity or for a timer response to light changes?

Yes, but which is more sensitive vs. less sensitive? Yeah, not very obvious.
I tried both extremes - in any case I can get 4-5 on/off cycles on a 2-mile stretch of suburban road in the morning. Annoying as hell. I'll put it on video and will ask the service people to look at it next oil change. |

Unfortunately I went through the manual and it doesn't say what MIN-MAX represents.
Sensitivity or Time. Does MAX mean a little shadow over the sensor will activate the lights becuase its on maximum "sensitivity" to detect changes in light. Or is it the opposite where MAX means the maximum "time delay" before the light comes on when it does detect a change. Unfortunately there is no easy way to test the settings. I thought it would be cool to leave my lights on Auto. Right now it's on the factory MID setting and I notice my lights come on when I roll under the shadow of a freeway which its only a few car lengths long and open air. I can understand rolling through a tunnel, but rolling under freeways and having your lights blink on and off is kinda silly.

I have it set to max, that gives a shorter delay before they turn off again. Min means they stay on for longer. At least that is what I've figured.

Auto Light Sensitivity
Changes the timing for the headlights to come on. Max, High, Mid, Low, Min So since it's *timing*, then Max should be the obvious choice - in my case it doesn't help. Morning shadows make it go bonkers anyway. |

because of the underpasses i pass going to work, i leave my lights on the OFF setting. i only leave it on AUTO at night when i know there won't be anything that'll cause my lights to turn on and off randomly
