Any success?? I just got a brand new crz last week and this has been also driving me absolutely mad! Already had them try to fix it 3 or 4 times but no luck. It appears to be coming from the rear right of the hatch.

My rattle is fixed now! For a few weeks too.

The dealer managed to get it done. The rattle was caused by the warped sheet metal between 2 pinch welds in the hatch. What they did was use a screwdriver to open up the gap in the panel and fill it with a RTV silicone to keep vibrations from coming back.

Wow can u be more specific? Like where exactly in the hatch was the gap located? I am going crazy here.

MachVEvan - I'm sure a lot of us would like a few more details of how your rattle was fixed if possible please. Thanks

I'm beginning to notice the rattle in the trunk! It's been on/off, but it sure is annoying me...

Well my dealer has had my car for a fifth time all week while I was out of town to find this rattle and I got a call from them yesterday that they have striped it, taped it and have made it actually worse!!! They asked if they could keep it longer.............. sure why not?
