Default Anyone regret getting the CVT?

I come from a nice line of sports cars all being manual. My last car was a s2000, that i sold to buy my CRZ. Due to the fact that i was pushing 100 miles of commuting daily I did not want to beat on my s2000 so much, plus I've been wanting s2000 CR so i figured i would sell it to buy something more gas friendly and then buy my CR later.

Anyways long story short. I was not planning on buying the CVT but i could not pass up the deal i got. (Honda Used Certified 2011 with 8,000 miles for $17k) I told myself, "im not gonna pay like 6k more for 8k miles less". LOL. But now all i can think about is that i drive an automatic. lol.

does anyone wish they could go back and get a 6MT?

Happy with the CVT. Had MT's on most previous cars.. Put her in Sport and enjoy. Want to play, use the paddles (of course it is a drive by wire experience) but can kinda sorta get the best of both worlds.

yeah i did have some fun with the paddles already. I like them, just still gotta get use to the fact that its an automatic i guess. lol. Kinda hard to swallow still.

Im planning on dropping the car soon and throwing some nice wheels on there just to make me feel better. lol.

I go back and forth on it Sometimes I wish I had gotten the manual, other times I'm ok with the CVT.... I purposely didn't drive the manual when I bought mine so I wouldn't be tempted to buy it :/

Only thing that upsets me currently is no supercharger kit for the CVT. Other then that, auto helps with daily traffic and generally doesnt matter to me. It is nice to drive long distance and not worry about shifting.

in some ways, I'm like romiata. I selected the cvt due to long lines of red tail lights. if i lived in a place/area where the traffic was at minimum, i would have gone with the manual. i foresaw myself getting frustrated sitting behind city people who do not know how to drive in a manual. from time to time, i do think about it. overall, i am very pleased with the cvt and have no regrets.

If I lived in the mountains I'd want the manual.
Love my CVT, especially when in town.

I've been a Corvette guy with MT most of my life. I'm very happy with the CVT. The paddles serve me well when the urge to get sporty strikes.

It also helps to remember this is NOT a sports car. It can get pretty sporty, but it's not a sports car.

I test drove the 6MT and I loved everything about it. Really incredible feel and Honda gave it a nice quality shift knob to boot. But I can't drive a stick as a daily driver, its too much of a PIA for me. So I have no regrets but if the CRZ was a weekend car I would've definitely gotten the stick.
