Default Buying a cr-z tmrw.. Color/price debate

Okay, first off I've loved his car since day 1 and the day has come where I'm buying one. I've been in the honda scene for years and this is the hardest choice I've ever had to make.

Okay.. I wanted a white pearl but there's only 1 left in a 500 mi radius, the price to get it here and drive it away is 20640. There is a black one 10 miles away that's black on black for 18120.. Should I go for the white one that's far.. Or take the black one and save thousands?! Need some input here people.. "Guide thy will toward honda (color) greatness"

Sincerely,
Rooster

I think you should get what you want or you will regret it later

It depends on how important color is to you, because imo you will love the car either way, and youll spend more time enjoying it from within the car than outside looking at its paintjob (hopefully)

But I was pretty open to whatever was available, ended up with black two times now and wouldve been happy either way. You might feel more strongly about it than me, but if I found one for 2k less I wouldve picked it up regardless of color.

More important to me was trim level and transmission.

Color isn't as important as it should be, but I have a white 91 crx that begs for its you get brother to be aesthetically matching. Transmission was first on the checklist.. And surprisingly there's only 37 to the 300+ available in the northeast... One being white

black is fine - 2K (you may be able to paint whatever color you want it to be !) I would be suspicious about 2K difference. If the cars are the same model and same year than I would go with the black. If difference in year or model - that is a whole other discussion,

This.

The price difference could Trim Levels if that is important to you. E.g., Base verses EX and the CVT verses MT?

Probably need to look at more than just the color.

If the color and transmission does not match what you want, you may want to wait until you get what you want. You don't want to regret it later. If what you want is a White MT then wait for it.

For $2,000, everything else being equal (transmission, trim, etc), BLACK. But, note that black is a difficult color to keep scratch/swirl free whereas white (actually pearl) doesn't show swirls readily but does show blacks specs (dust, tar, etc).

Is there a reason you don't want to wait for the 2013 models?

I agree in the sense of waiting.. But it's the difference of convenience over preference. And also being that I make minimal money and have been driving a 1987 Mercedes 190e for years to save money for this.. I feel compelled to get what I want, but without sacrificing my heat for the season.
