Default Small amenities- need help

All,
First time poster here.
I might have stayed a lurker only on this great forum, but wanted to ask for help on a couple embarassingly small points.
I have been looking at the CR-Z for a while, with the plan to buy one when my 9 year old oil burning-faster-than-gasoline BMW'er gives up the ghost, which will be very soon.
The CR-Z is great enough in so many respects that I don't mind any "faults", except two: Coat hooks in the back, and if possible, locking mechanism for the back storage containers. Anyone come up with any custom solutions?
I know you're gonna say this shouldn't make it or break it, but something to hang a coat and a shirt or two really is a necessity for me. Anybody have any luck with the stick ons, or other? What I've seen aren't very substantial. And it sure would be nice to be able to lock the storage container if they're going to be there. Anyone know of someone doing that as custom work?
I could/can rig something myself for each of the above, but I would think someone out there has invented this wheel.
They are small things, when looking at some of the neat threads on the forum, but any input would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Scott

In all honesty I think rigging a lock on the seat part would be easy to do imo also for the shirt hooks if you are cool with getting the double sided tape hooks they work rly well ... Basicly to give you an idea of how strong I have my ironing board hanging on one on the back of my bathroom door O_O and its not a mini ironing board lol the hooks also come in different colors so you could get a silvery one to match the interior or w/e color u want n wutnot hope this helps regarding the shirt hook issue the lock imo is rly doable

Welcome to the forum, Scott.
I think what Lady says should solve the hook problem. It might cover up the triangle windown, but those are fairly useless anyway (especially the one on the driver's side).

As for the lock, I've not seen it done, but I think you've thrown down a good challenge for the DIY experts on the forum. Although if someone has managed to break into your car, I don't know what would prevent them from prying open the cubby cover, lock or not, and causing even more damage. The best defence there might just be that a crook doesn't know they exist, so migt not be interested in looking to see what might be hidden there.

Command hooks by 3M work extremely well and come off easy. All of my decorations in my room are hung by them, including a very large ornate banner and a few painting with heavy frames. Not sure how the adhesive would handle baking inside of a car though, but it's worth a shot.

Thanks, all. Sound good.
Do let me know if anyone has done aftermarket work for these. And if Honda is listening...

didnt even think of the baking in the heat @_@ welll if u rllllyyy want it there is always super glue ?? XD tho that would be more damaging or if you wanna get rly hardcore mebbe get the hooks from a diff car and could Screw it in like I have seen on some cars @_@? if it is a permanent mod you are looking for ^^would be nice for those that find the side back windows useless but honestly i use them X: i have a crazy theory that taller people find them useless while shorty people can use them for blindspots I am 5"4 and I can use them quite well ^___^ also what crz canadian said about the lock is true imo I think in any type of situation whether it be house/car or w/e if someone wants to break in they will find a way :/ tho most people do prolly think its folded down seats lol or just a sexy two seater with a big trunk i mean look at dat ass @_@ can fit so much stuff inside if it wasnt for the small waist

A car seat back hanger is an excellent idea.
Would still rather have hooks hanging from the roof -- Direct rearward visibility is much overrated...
