CR-Z Race Car to Compete in Japan GT300

Joining the Prius Hybrid race car will be a Honda CR-Z developed with M-TEC Co., Ltd. and will be campaigned by Team Mugen. The hybrid racer won’t, however, be competing until Round 4 of the Super GT Series.

Looks slick - but calling it a CR-Z is a bit of a stretch.
Maybe "CR-Z Inspired" would be more appropriate.
Perhaps it shares the headlights with our car???
Certainly not any of the body panels, and I'll bet not the suspension or most of the drive train. I'd even question if the dimensions are really the same.

But pretty cool, none the less. And good for not only the image of our current model Z, but perhaps for development of future iterations of the street model.

Now, who was it that was asking about adding a roof scoop a while ago?

I'm pretty sure it's an artist's interpretation. As a reference point, this is the Prius racer.



In GT300 they allow the cars up to 300 hp, so obviously there will be extensive modifications made. Honda has given Mugen control over the CR-Z racer.
