Available 2011 CR-Z trim and Colour for Canada & USA

I saw and spoke to a Honda Canada product consultant/rep (forget his exact title) - reponsible for selecting features on Honda cars for Canadian market and this is what I got:

Honda Canada will only have one trim level - CR-Z EX (NO NAVI available in Canada)
Available in both 6-speed manual and CVT automatic
Price in Canada is "in the low-20's"

Honda Canada CR-Z EX will only be available in 3 colours:
White - Premium White Pearl
Grey - Dark Pewter Metallic ***
Blue- Horizon Turquoise Pearl

*** NOTE: The Honda Canada Product Consultant/Rep told me the colours available are "White, Grey and Blue". Now "Grey" is,... well, a "gray" area! He did not specifically say "Dark Pewter Metallic" or "Storm Silver Metallic". Both available in Japan. Both look grey,... one light grey silver (Storm Silver Metallic) and the other dark grey (Dark Pewter Metallic). Anyways,... thinking if he meant Silver he would have said Silver instead of Grey,... I'm assuming grey means Dark Pewter Metallic. Especially since Honda Canada will not be selling the Black one and already has White.

Honda Canada only expect to sell about 1,000 CRZ EX in first year,.. and 500/year in following years. Not a big market for 2-seaters. And rear seat didn't really do all that great in European crash test.

Non-navi radio is not standard double DIN. Honda Canada will NOT have Navi model, thus Canadian who wants to replace non-NAVI radio with standard aftermarket navi will need to do it on their own. Get standard double DIN Navi faceplate-bracket from USA dealer. Canadian dealer won't have them since Honda Canada doesn't have any CR-Z with NAVI

Honda USA will have 3 trim levels - CR-Z, CR-Z EX & CR-Z EX with NAVI
All trim level available in both 6-speed manual and CVT automatic

Honda USA CR-Z will be available in 5 colours: White, Grey, Blue, Red and Black
White - Premium White Pearl
Grey - Dark Pewter Metallic ***
Blue- Horizon Turquoise Pearl
Red - Milano Red
Black - Crystal Black Pearl

NOTE: All colour may not be available in all trim

*** NOTE: The Honda Canada Product Consultant/Rep told me the colours available in USA will be same as in Canada plus "Red and Black". Please note assumption I made about "Grey" above in the Honda Canada colour section.

Thus for now, two colours of the 7 colours available in Japan will not make it to Canada and the USA. These two colours are:
Orange - Brilliant Orange Metallic
Silver - Storm Silver Metallic *** See notes above

not sure how accurate ur info is... i personally don't listen 100% to sales ppl or employees of Honda when it comes to news... the internet usually knows more on those specs...

your colors for USA are not accurate... Silver Storm Metallic (SSM) is already on the Honda Fit and there are already PR photos of the USDM version of it... the Dark Pewter Metallic is not going to be available here... and neither is the Horizon Turquoise Pearl (HTP)... the blue that's coming here is North Shore Blue Pearl (NSBP)... this has also been confirmed with PR photos...

This wasn't a Honda Dealer sales person who told me the colours. They won't even offically know until next week when they go for their orientation on the CR-Z.

The Honda Canada Product Consultant/Rep told me the colours available in Canada are "White, Grey and Blue". And USA will get the same 3 colours plus "Red and Black".

Then I just went on the YouTube video of the Japanese CR-Z colours and try to figure out the Honda colour name from there.

Thus I stand corrected,...

Honda Canada CR-Z EX will only be available in 3 colours:

that really sucks that CA isn't getting the two colors and the option for Navigation... but i guess i can

b/c usually the US gets screwed and CA gets the goodies

That figures. Honda Canada doesn't sell many two seaters because they are totally out of touch with what a 2seater shopper is looking for. Bright colours and Gadgets like Navi. They just struck me from the list of potential buyers seeing as I wanted a Red one with Navi. Very disappointing.

wainair,... I spoke to a different Honda Canada rep,... not sure about this one's title,.. but he told me Canadian CR-Z EX (only trim) will be coming in "White, Silver and RED". I asked about the blue,... he said "no blue it's red for sure". Arghhh,... bottom line: talk to two different Honda Canada rep and get two different set of colours.

Canadian Honda dealers start getting their orientation on CR-Z next week,... until then they won't know colours.

With what BizzyBear pointed out about the blue in post #2,... and that link suggesting that the Blue - North Shore Blue Pearl will be in CR-Z only and not available on CR-Z EX. And knowing that Honda Canada will only get CR-Z EX trim,... I think today's Honda Canada rep is more accurate... "White, Silver and Red"

As for NAVI, Honda Canada will NOT be getting any CR-Z EX with NAVI. You'll probably be better off getting an aftermarket navi system anyways. See Post #1 on need to get NAVI bracket cover from USA Honda dealer.

BTW, CR-Z with NAVI in Japan has 10 different NAVI to choose from!

BizzyBear,.... yeah, you were right about the "Grey" or "Silver" being "Storm Silver Metallic". I had to find a Honda CR-Z today to confirm. Honda Canada had one a "Silver" one on display at Honda Indy Toronto,.... and I checked the colour code,.... NH642M = "Storm Silver Metallic"

Thus,... from Honda Canada, I've seen:
White - Premium White Pearl - CR-Z EX with CVT/automatic (test drove)
White - Premium White Pearl - CR-Z EX with manual
Silver - Storm Silver Metallic - CR-Z EX with manual

I have not seen the third colour CR-Z EX from Honda Canada,... so I don't know if it's Red or Blue. But I'm hoping for RED! Heck, I still have my little red Honda!

Oh, BTW,... funny thing about small cars these days,... most have big shiny exhaust tips. CR-Z is a fast looking car,.... but there's NO big shiny exhaust tip! Heck, you can't even see it when driving behind the car,... seems Honda went out of their way to hide the exhaust tip on this hybrid.

I hope your right SunnyRay. I'm still a bit ticked that the options are so limited but maybe in the 2012 they will add a si or typeR with some more goodies. I would like to buy a new car sooner though.
