I drove a Silver with Navi today while my Fit was serviced.

I think it looks a lot better live, than in pictures.
Seems like a fun little car, reminded me of my CRX's

US friends spare a thought for the UK crowd. Everything here is pretty much the same in £ as in $, making my CR-Z Sport cost $28,000 US. And, get this, sales tax is set to go up from the current 17.5% to 20% in January. Wonder what Beck and Palin would make of that!

truth is we complain about sales tax here but it's really low compared to other parts of the world... hell sales tax where i'm at is 6%... some states are higher but i think that's the average...

Are you saying that the VAT of 17.5% is charged on top of the 19,999£ cost of the GT?

UK buyers, Is your VAT charged as an additional tax over and above the 16,999 to 19,99 list price of your CRZ or is it included in the retail price?

I discovered something very interesting about the pricing. Out of curiosity, I was playing around with several inflation & consumer price index calculators this evening.

In 1985, I paid $9800 for a CRX-Si

The relative worth of $9800 back then would be about $19,500 today using the CPI.

Cue creepy coincidental music...

Sorry, this is probably a dead thread by now but no, the 17.5% is included in that price. Just off the top of my head, the car would be about $3,500 (US) at 7.5% sales tax! Then figure in the cost of gas, which is about $7.20 per US gallon, about 80% of which is tax. And folks in the US yelp when a tax goes up by .5%! Actually, I agree with the US.

Sorry, that should be $3,500 CHEAPER, not $3,500 altogether!

I have yet to see one in my neck of the woods and I have a Honda dealer 5 mins away. I've called them and they haven't received any models as of yet.
