MOTORING: Honda CR-Z is an Exciting New Coupe

THE European version of the Honda CR-Z will be launched in Ireland later this summer. Honda says the CR-Z is a unique new car, combining the advantages of a clean, efficient petrol electric hybrid power train with a manual transmission and a stylish coupe body.

This exciting new coupe will change current perceptions of hybrids, with its engaging chassis and responsive IMA hybrid system. It will feature a 2+2 cabin layout, bespoke LED accented headlights and a 6-speed manual gearbox.

The CR-Z has a wide track and short wheelbase chassis for agile and responsive handling as well as a unique threemode Drive System to tailor steering, throttle response and IMA assistance to the driver's needs Powered by a 1.5litre i-VTEC engine coupled to the Honda IMA parallel hybrid system the CR-Z has CO2 emissions of 117 g/km and 5.0 l/100km fuel economy in combined mode.

It is the first 6-speed manual transmission combined with a hybrid drive train, driver focussed ****pit design with 3D instruments. European market cars to be equipped with a flexible 2+2 seating arrangement.
