I never had an interaction with Scotty, but I felt like I knew him with how much I dug through this forum and re-read over and over the numerous threads before my time here.
He was obviously a well loved person, and I'm sorry to hear this news. I don't often get all that sad about these sorts of things, but this honestly is horrible to hear.
I cannot believe this. Scotty was a great guy and a pillar to the CR-Z community. I'm glad and honored to have worked with him when he made me a moderator to the forum.
I was deeply saddened when I read the news on Facebook a little while ago. I remember lurking the forums and having an immense respect for how he ran this place. That respect only grew when I became a member and even more so when he brought me on to be a mod and eventually admin. He was a great person and an even better leader. Wish I had the opportunity to meet him in real life. My thoughts are with his family. He will be greatly missed.
I only interacted with him once or twice, but it was obvious from the start that he was a great guy. A terrible loss. My prayers go out for his family.
I don't post every day or week but I do read daily. There wasn't a time that went by where Scotty didn't chime in. He was kind and helpful to everyone. He is missed.
I am in absolute shock to hear this. I didn't know he was sick.
I hope you're in a better place now Scotty. One of the most kind, nicest and influential members ever, you had an impact on many who never met you, indeed all of us. Rest in peace. You will be sorely missed.
I didn't know Scotty but it seemed that he was a great person with a wealth of knowledge.
You will be missed .
My condolences to his friends and family .
While I haven't been on the forum much lately, when I saw it on Facebook I felt compelled to post here. I didn't know Scotty personally, but he always seemed like such a great guy. He will be missed. Condolences to his family.
He was the 1st person I met on this fourms. He was always extremely kind to me and others. He never thought my questions were dumb even when I thought color codes were the difference in transmission. ( I always saw people post up 3 letter codes - NSBP ) and only saw white and black initially. He was a great guy and will be missed. Rest in peace!
I only knew him from the forums and PM's, but he was always super nice. I can't imagine he was any different in his personal life. RIP, and condolences to his family.
